Like in some Earth Science Pulp novel, 2 or 3 huge rocks metamorphized into a whole other specie. Sam Tsitrin, of the SF art-prog trio the Ebb and Flow, and Dmitry Ishenko, the famed NYC and Boston jazz bass player, working with engineer and drummer Chris Cline of Scrabbel made WE IS SHORE DEDICATED, in 3 days of January 2007.
Chicken hawks were seen in the area. Hide them, Hilda, we have to move quick!
SF's Ebb and Flow make a backhandedly progressive brand of indie pop--it's so catchy, you might not spot the avant-garde. Sam Tsitrin's other project is similarly inclined, if a bit looser. Country-folk guitars and wry lyrics gradually get spun into something noir.
The big day has finally come! Uploaded all new songs from upcoming album "Dearest Betty Bug". Hope you'll give them a listen and let me know what you think.
And have one of your interns kindly post a reminder re: el Rio show at my profile when it's convenient.
Hey Sam! Long time no speak. Just wanted to check in with you. I'm in LA a lot these days for work and am in LA on Friday, so I can't sit in :-(, However, my schedule is going to be less crazy after the 20th. Hope we can play music soon!
sorry, looks like they fished my account. things have been great.i have been subsisting mostly on moving jobs. sometimes i will paint the occasional commission. just read a great book by gao xingjian called soul mountain... i am looking forward to the day when i can come out of early musical retirement and we can play again. send my love to wendy and wally. and lets hope the tibetan monks get out from under the iron fist without anymore casualties.
Sam You never told me you were a POP star. Now that I know, how can I ever trust myself not grovel before your awesome brilliance. Actually, in all seriousness (which I am noted for) I quite liked the songs, the singing, and the playing. Gee, I guess I liked the whole package. But next time, let the drummer drive the van. XXOO Go Van Gogh
