H.O.M.E. is sad to announce the lost of Mr. John M. Davis. John Davis of New York City was a retired teacher, educator, and activist. Mr. Davis was one of H.O.M.E.'s prominent members of the Board of Director's as well as Ozzy's teacher and mentor for the pass 27 years. Mr. Davis was promoted to glory in August 2008 after a long battle with lung cancer at the age of 78. He was considered a pioneer and a member of the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP), he planned and participated in demonstrations to increase AIDS awareness and to get help for those diagnosed with the disease. He also provided support for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS through counseling, hospital visits and outings. His legend and vision will always remain a part of H.O.M.E. and we remember him fondly with great respect for his calling.

About me:
Not too much to say with the exception that I did live in your world for 35 precious years, lived life to the fullest, until one day I learned of my HIV status, as well as, that of both of my children, who are also with me. We all fought many struggles and faced many obstacles during our era, but we are no longer part of your world. However, we are very optimistic that one day there will be a cure for all those struggling with HIV/AIDS, especially, the children, who really deserve a chance out of life. We have been witnessing greater treatments, more promising medicines, and making this disease more managable, but our ultimate pleasure will be finding the absolute cure. We are all pleased to see the path and efforts of I Wanna Go H.O.M.E. and request your support in making a difference in a child's life. So from our new H.O.M.E. to yours, we gratefully thank you for your good work and support. May Peace be with you Always.
We are sorry to have been away from the family for so long. I'm extremely saddened to hear that Mr. Davis passed away. It's unbelievable how we think that someone will always be there tomorrow...and we take for granted those little moments. We love you and are very proud of all the accomplishments you have made. Dad, we will come home soon.
