About me: Hi everyone :-) My name is Sorcha and I'm a 20 year old art student from Dublin, Ireland.
I've created this special myspace page to celebrate the dark, delicious, hilarious and heartbreaking movie 'Welcome To The Dollhouse', directed by Todd Solondz and starring the brilliant Heather Matarazzo as the awkward adolescent antihero, Dawn 'Weinerdog' Weiner. Tortured and reviled by her crass classmates, Dawn often manages to find her own way of sticking up the finger to the world, with typically pathetic and funny results. I have fallen deeply in love with this movie since I first saw it in November 07 and my interest now borders dangerously on a full-blown 'Steve Rogers' style obsession!.........
It's clear from several places online, such as IMDB, LiveJournal, Youtube and here on Myspace that this wonderful little gem of a movie is beloved by many and is still a definite cult favourite today, over a decade after it's original release. Despite this, it is surprisingly hard to find many pics or info online so I have decided to use this profile as a mini website dedicated to gathering all the pics, screencaps, articles and info that I can find on the film and putting them all in one spot for fans of the movie to appreciate.........
Just so you know, this is absolutely not an official page for the movie and I'm not affiliated with the director or any of the crew or actors... I'm just a fan.........

Who I'd like to meet: Everyone involved in the making of 'Welcome To The Dollhouse', especially my absolute fave film totty ever, the delicious, talented, smart, funny, edgy, inspirational Heather Matarazzo. I was so bowled over by her perfect, heartbreakingly real acting in 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' that I was inspired to check out her other movies and I'm now officially in love! :-) I'd also like to chat to other fans of Heather or the movie

We will be playing Thomas Reads Dame Street, this Friday 20 June.
This gig is part of the famous Tranformer night at T Read's, a club that runs (till late) every Friday night, so entry to the gig gets you entry to the club afterwards.
Doors at 9PM and support comes from the brilliant Blue Sun. Baby Jenx will be on-stage at 10PM.
