The Hellacopters, MC5, Rolling Stones (early), Lynard Skynard, Johnny Winter,
Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Guns N' Roses, The Stooges, The Who, Deep Purple, Mott the hoople, Emerson Lake and Palmer...... No just kidding Emerson Lake and Palmer fucking suck!!!
Rising like a phoenix from the bodies of the gods (actually it's more like a litter of rats burrowing out of the stomach of a dead hooker behind a dumpster), Welcome to Bangkok was born out of the ashes of some of Cleveland's finest rock acts. Their special brand of rock n roll moonshine consists of two parts face-melting guitars, two parts sex-driving rhythms and one singer "we found passed out in front of a strip club by the airport", is guaranteed to leave you with a fire in your belly and a grin on your face. Since their conception 2 years ago they've taken their MC5-like revolution to the streets from New York to Nashville tearing down the walls that have confined the genre for so long, leaving behind a wake of could-be pregnant women and broken whiskey bottles. For the past few months they've been staying close to home while recording their first full-length debut album "Where Ya Want It" on Sonic Swirl Records to be released later this year. Look for Welcome to Bangkok to strike a stage near you with their high energy rock n roll blitzkreig, but be careful where you step cuz it's a good chance somebody in the crowd soiled themselves... or one of the boys is passed out on the floor. OH Yeah...almost forgot FUCK MICHEAL STANLEY!
Thanks for accepting our A.D.D. Leave us a comment... throw a molotov in the streets... start a riot... vote for our band to play the Warped Tour... that's probably easier. Riot! - Kc IdoL P.s.s.t. watch our live video... click below
Hi there WELCOME to BANGKOK first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't lose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
We have also built a pretty big music community which you are welcome to join if you want to meet new artists like yourself!
