Freddy Musri sounds like a new name for the international electronic music scene. But a long time ago in galaxy far, far away, in Chile there was a dj (or a jedi of the local electronic music) that burn the candle at both ends in front of computers, machines and synthesizer. For years, Freddy Musri is searching sounds and building rythms to aproach of the ideas that lives in his soul.
With Chisport, his first LP for the Barcelona..s label Fueradeserie!, he shows a preview of his musical sensibility and hanging out to mix the regular electronics genres. He joins acid house lines with sexies sax samplers (track 01 akz2), get in and out to the club with a lot of freedom (track 07 experiment) and establishes a straight dialog with the most intimate conscience of the listener to set it in front of the message : “Are you feeling good, are you having the real fun?” (track 09 my bad english).
His goals goes with no doubt to the dancefloor, one it thinks or questioned about it permanent evolution and it takes a time to enjoy a nice daiquiri in a chill attitude. ¿Mental Funk o Emtional Minimal?, at the moment the names not to be needed.
Freddy Musri puede parecer un nombre nuevo para la escena internacional, lo cierto es que éste chileno lleva un buen tiempo quemando pestañas frente a computadores, máquinas y sintetizadores, escarbando sonidos y construyendo ritmos que se acerquen a lo que tiene en su interior.
Con Chispoort, su primer larga duración para el sello barcelonés Fueradeserie!, lanza una sinopsis de su sensibilidad musical. Desinhibido en la mixtura de géneros, une líneas de acid house con sexies samplers de saxo (track 01 akz2), entra y sale del club con total libertad (track 07 experiment) y establece un diálogo directo con la conciencia más íntima del oyente enfrentándolo con la frase: “Are you feeling good, are you having the real fun?” (track 09 my bad english). Sus dardos apuntan sin lugar a dudas a la pista de baile, una que piensa y se cuestiona su permanente evolución y que también se da el tiempo para degustar un buen daiquiri con tranquilidad. ¿Mental funk o minimal emocional?, a estas alturas las etiquetas están demás.
Augias Amena is my musical kingdom.
I'm Fernando Mora and I began making electronic music in 2002,
no sub-genres or epithets. I use the freeware modular tracker Jeskola Buzz,
always have and probably always will.
All my teenage years were spent obsessing over musicians like Richard James or Tom Jenkisnon,
spending each weekend dancing to electro,
drum and bass or psytrance in clubs in Vienna.
Now this music coming from my fingers is, all in all,
the same electronic music I'd like to be hearing or dancing to.
Something strange and beautiful.
Augias Amena began making music in 2002,
thinking of the drum n bass, electro and hip hop he grew up with as a teenager.
Irregular rhythm, danceability, fat kicks, constant snares, fuzzy synths,
simple shapes and mellow melodies. He collaborates with music and web
design work for jacobinodiscos. cl. He lives well, studies literature,
composes stuff like this and teaches english in Santiago, Chile.

This is the second LP from Monoceros, a collaboration between barcelona based label Fueradeserie! and Imaginary
Nonexistent Records. Warm, delicate, and more melancholic than his last album, this is more focused on deep and emotional
electronics, adding acoustic instruments ( guitars, rhodes and toy sounds). mixing them with glitchy rythms and focusing to
make a more homogenic album (and less naïve) than “When i was a child i wanted to be an astronaut”, bringing beautiful
and melodic tracks (Warm, Background birds) , more experimental (<< The big wave), simple and glitchy (Little pieces),
evoking frozen landscapes (Depression and vortex at Jan Mayen, Northern Lights) or strong IDM breacks (The day we
become one)
