About me:
A couple of years ago, there was a survey that ranked the best cities in the country for dating. Guess how my hometown of Kansas City placed? I'll give you a hint: they included 80 cities in the survey. Ok, time's up. You guessed it: 80th.
Still, some of us still try to defy the odds and find some company on a regular basis. It's not easy, and the drinks (when I pay for them) are not cheap. On the other hand, it's better than staying at home knitting (which, by the way, I tried for like two weeks. If anyone needs LOTS of yarn, let me know, because I got it).
I'm grateful for the friends that keep me company through my nights at bars around town, and I'm especially grateful that one of them takes those nights and turns them into comic strips. The strip is called K City and more people should read them, online or on The Kansas City Star's Preview section every Thursday.
Then buy me a drink. Come on, why not? It's not like you have a strip about you.
