About me:

Simon Charles Porter [sahy-muhn chahrlz pawr-ter, pohr-]
- noun

1. The original name of the Zealot, partially from a Germanic word meaning “man”, and hired to carry burdens or baggage, as at a railroad station or a hotel.
2. (Chiefly British) That contemporaneously pescetarian vicenarian, who is coupled jubilantly to that mind dessert of many varieties, and who enjoys both adjectives and adverbs ...apparently.

[Origin: 1985; Michael + Beryl]

Synonyms: Simon, Mr Simon, Si, Sim, Simmy, Simone, Simeone, Slimon, Shimon, Porter, Portré, Portal, Portercabin, Porterloo, Ports, Morts, Le Morte, Limort, Sticks, Coppermouth, Charly P, Pomme, BREADBIN, Lemsip, Pitstop, Mark's Brother, Will's Brother, Ed's Brother (and indeed, Mark, Will and Ed themselves).

Antonyms: Barry.

Notes: Often found bathing in a vista of sound, of some sort. The aforementioned are just a few of the names/methods of referral that have been used in addressing Simon Charles Porter. Others, of a more work-related nature are offered thus:
Squire, Maestro, Chief, Boss, Governor, Bruv, Son, Mate, Bud, Blud, Dude.
A simple sort of person - simple Simon, if you will - who leads a humble sort of life, such that it is felt one could list alphabetically, upon request, pretty much all of his interests.
Highlights of his life include bouncing a ball 237 times in a row without dropping it, banging his head on the bottom of a pool, witnessing his brother get up to J in the burp alphabet, not cutting his hair for 383 days, learning how to refer to himself in the third-person, and discovering that he can make people laugh by sullying his good name with slanderous filth.
A music student at City University in London, music is pretty much his life. Plays drums in a band, Clémentine, and has a couple of other side projects. Other than music, is mainly into travel and photography. Oh - and dry, droll wit.
Laughs a lot, talks too fast, has a tendency to worry needlessly about trivial matters and has been known to make preposterous claims such as having a respectable collection of wooden spoons.
Is the third of four brothers - brothers in the literal sense, although, they would undoubtedly be considered "brothers" in the fraternal sense also.
Used to love Jamiroquai before Stuart Zender left and, to a lesser (yet still noteworthy) extent, Toby Smith.

Mar 21 2007 9:45 PM

Bonsoir, my sweet. I haven't left you a comment in a while, so here is one for you now:

Aaw, lookit! When you get a kitten it'll be all cute and tiny like that, and we'll have to look after it and stuff. It's sooooo cute. And sleepy.
I remember when Nermal and Pooky were like that. All fluffty and sweet.
Anyway, I was going to tell you that I went to Oceanography yesterday (a rare occurrence, I know!) and I could swear that my lecturer is the illegitimate love child of Hugo Weaving. Really. She is the IMAGE of him.
And she's Australian, which just gives more weight to my reasoning. So there you go.
Also, I bought some polishing cloths today, so that my room doesn't need to be so dusty! Woo! I can finally dust my desk. I also got a lovely thing that makes the bathroom smell of flooowers. It's vair nice. Apparently it's Lily and Freesia, but I don't believe it for a second... it smells too fruity to be flowers.
Anyway. I'll stop rambling now.
And you should stop worrying.

xxxxxxx

Aaand... I lurrrves you xx

I am well aware that yesterday I didn't manage to leave you a comment, for which I am very sorry.
However, I'm making it up to you with a comment entirely devoted to the legend that is Nermal.
And so here is your favourite picture of you and the man himself:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Wonderful. Also, this one:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Where you're both looking at me like I'm a retard. Geez.
Uh-oh, I just ripped the bottom of my jeans. Darnit.
Anyway, I have to go and do some washing and other such thrilling things. I shall see you tomorrow night!

Love, me xxxxxx

P.s. - Is it sad that I'm really quite excited about catching the National Express for the first time?

Bonjour, c'est moi.. again.
So anyway, I checked up on the bacteria, and they were doing just fine, growing away nicely... so I killed them, hahahaa.
But not before I had monitored their growth and other exciting things like that.
Mine looked a bit like this:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
But better. That one's a bit shit really. But it did go pink and yellow.
Also, my maman's parcel arrived, OHYES.
With this treasure inside:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
OHYESOHYES. Loveit. I'll be watching that later, and obviously you'll have to watch it when you come down again. Wooo. Apparently I'll be receiving more post of this kind again soon.
Faabolos.
And so concludes your comment of the day, filled with pictures, as per your request.

Do you want anything from the shop?

Aha! You asked for a comment, so here it is. I'm not sure if you'll read this straight away, so its content may be totally irrelevant by the time you read it!
So here we go:
Get out of bed already and make tea:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
So that I can dunk my malted milk biscuits in it:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I may then consider making dinner:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Mmmm, yummy enchiladas. Obviously, ours won't look like that, because they will be cheesier, and therefore tastier. Yummy.
Anyway.
After that, we shall then go forth to the wharf of the guns, and watch HOT FUZZ.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
It has to be good, as it has Cornettos in it. Nice.
So there I shall conclude my lovely comment, saturated with pictures. Wonderful.

Aaand... I love you xxxxx

AHA! It didn't take as long as I had anticipated.

Even better! I'm sorry to say that Captain Planet was in fact the hottest cartoon character from when I was little. And I barely remember Bucky O'Hare. Or I do, but I don't remember the theme tune.
Anyway.

Bonjour monsieur. So yes, just got the new timetable. I have Valentine's day off (wooo. Obviously the uni realised that no-one would turn up that day anyway). But sadly have 2 MASSIVE labs the day after. So that's a bit shit.
Actually, I have lots and lots of labs this semester. Ohjoy.
But anyways. Biochemistry finished!
Wooo. Was much better than I expected, actually. Revision is good.

Bonjour, haricots vert, I thought I'd leave you a myspaz comment, as I haven't in aaaaages. So yes...
I'm printing stuff off for uni. I've decided that I'm going to get all my tests done tomorrow, so that I have the entirety of the last week free, aside from some revision. I think this is a good plan, or at least it will be if it gets put into action, yah?
Nermal is being fussy, and not eating anything but those Wiskas treats that he loves. Gah.
Anyway. I bet that was a thrilling comment.
I'll probably see you in a minute anyway.
