Firefly has had seven years of infamy in the Midlands for consistently throwing one of the best club nights in the UK. This has lead to creating a dedicated Firefly following who know and trust the brand and the quality of dance music that it represents .
With guests having ranged from Dave Clarke, Adam Freeland, Alter Ego, Hot Chip, Derrick Carter, Plump DJs, Audiobullys, Justice, Digitalism, Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Francois k, MANDY, Stanton Warriors, Bookashade, the music policy has always been based firstly around quality taking in techno, house, breaks, minimal, electro and anything else that really makes your booty shake. This is one of the reasons why DJs love to play here as they don't have to stick rigidly to a particular genre. A true love of music underpins everything that we do which is why Firefly has a crowd that doesn't want to leave and a reputation for throwing parties definitely not to be missed.
Firefly Recordings was created out of the same passion for dance music as the events. The label takes in house, techno, minimal and electro and the best shades in between them all. The most exciting music often comes from where the margins of existing styles meet and then blur. The label has music that we love and believe in and that we know will move a dance floor.

Firefly Recordings release for you by Swiss artist and production don, Jill Bellac. It's our 5th release, and has been smashing clubs around the globe already! Release date is the 10th of June, watch out!
Firefly recordings delivers its 5th release with something very special from Swiss artist Jill Bellac. The EP oozes with production class, while still maintaining a massive dancefloor impact. This is no easy feat to achieve for any producer, and Mr Bellac has unsurprisingly been tipped for big things! The EP is rounded off with a remix from Traum and Firefly's Max Cooper.
“Solid” is screaming dancefloor killer that climbs into the mind of the listener, providing a bit of tease before dropping with a seriously chunky groove. Lots of clever techniques are used throughout the track, which sounds polished and produced to the highest possible of standards.
“Liquid” is a super-dancefloor track with a rhythmical driving bassline providing the groove and plenty of blips, stabs and effects to entertain from start to finish. Accessible housey techno at its best.
With “Gaseous”, Bellac shows off his more measured side, with cheeky synth and vocal hits interspersed between bass stabs and sub bends, all beautifully crafted into an organic track that builds and evolves in a manner that few acts could claim to have the talent to produce.
Max Cooper's remix of “Solid” takes a more direct approach to dancefloor satisfaction; tailored around a catchy bass hook, and using Bellac's vocals and effects to form a new shuffle rhythm guaranteed induce some serious wobble!
