Blues Central are a four Piece, punchy, textured and entertaining outfit. They are a bunch of ‘veterans’ from South Wales who share a love of Blues/Funk and Soul.
Formed in 2003 and fronted by Peter Hughes on Guitar and Vocals, they bring a welcome consistency to the live gig with a definite appreciation and feel for the music which consists of cuts by T-Bone Walker, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, Steve Cropper, Eric Clapton and Jess Roden to name just a few.
With Peter, on Drums is Graeme Jones; Bass Guitar - Andy Gibbon and Andy Berry on Guitar and Tin Sandwich! All the band provide backing vocals and the odd lead line and the use of multi-part harmonies is one of the band’s strengths.
With a regular schedule of 40 + gigs per year with all of the band bringing a live experience dating back to the Sixties, these guys take no prisoners. A new CD with original and cover material should be available soon at the gigs. Until the next time ... we wish you well!<
