   Welsh Country Magazine's Blurbs
About me:
Welsh Country is a countryside and lifestyle magazine about Wales - its rich culture, unique history, beautiful landscape, and the people who live here. The magazine is a bi-monthly, glossy publication produced and printed in Wales, and is distributed throughout this country and beyond. Welsh Country Magazine is published by Equine Marketing, a totally independent publisher, also based in Ceredigion. Since our launch in 2004 Welsh Country has been a tremendous success, and our company continues to grow. We have branched out to include not just publishing and marketing, but also a more specialised design and photography department. We have found that a number of our advertising clients, particularly new and small businesses, have needed help in putting together a company image, professionally designed advertisements, brochures, signs, office stationery, trade stand backdrops, magazines, and much more. This is what led to the launch of Welsh Country Design, a comprehensive design and print service. We offer a range of services from the basic design of office stationery and leaflets right through to the printing, publishing, and marketing of multi-page, full-colour, glossy publications. As we are experienced in print, marketing and distribution as well as design and photography, we can carry simple ideas right through to finished, professional, printed copy which can be distributed to any area of your choosing. I did get a copy of the magazine, thank you. I appreciate that you used my quote exactly as I wrote it.

It doesn't surprise me that Ernest Brooks was refused a license to use the Three Feathers symbol. I think the article was sound but didn't really tackle the motivation of Charles' people in making the move to restrict the use of the symbol.

If you’re interested, I'm writing a feature on The Duchy's purchase of a hovel at Myddfai, apparently to convert it into Welsh base for Charles and Camilla on their visits to Wales, even though anywhere in Wales is only half an hour from Highgrove by helicopter.

People will be able to use their bed when they're not there, according to the Duchy's media although you can't rent Highgrove, Clarence House or Balmoral when they're not at home. Yet the Duchy has obtained planning permission to convert the property into holiday lets of the standard expected by middle class people, not princes.

The Duchy is merely the latest business to add to the depopulation of the Welsh countryside. As you probably know, it's too late for Myddfai since holiday and investment properties outnumbered the homes of locals 10 years ago.

As for the Three Feathers, we should just stop using it.

Why should we define ourselves with this badge belonging to Charles Windsor - let him keep it! The last Prince of Wales was killed by Charles' great great great grandad over 600 years ago. Use the dragon - not the German for 'I Serve'!
