(eschew genre segregation!)
Wemew arose from several songs that Ish had been writing over the years. While in sailor college in 2005, Ish met John and really enjoyed playing the songs with him, and so it was decided to record an album.
Musically, wemew skirts the boundaries of folk, country, rock and jazz. Not to be a name-dropper, but if you're a fan of more modern folk, or the 17th century Japanese poet Matsuo Basho, you'd probably dig us.
All of the songs are original (save the super secret bonus track cleverly hidden at the back). They attempt to be deeply personal, but not quite whiny; funny, but not a novelty act; simple, but musically interesting; and principled but not quite preachy. It's left to the listeners to determine the degree of success at any and all of these.

I picke dup a copy from Sid today as demanded and I've just got to say that it is flat out AWESOME! Holy smokes is this album the cat's meow. People should buy these things like hotcakes.
Sweetleaf?! Are you kidding? It's the new black. ;)
I've listened to "Consuming" hundreds of times now....and that damn song still gives me chills. It's in my top 20 songs of all time, and working its way to the top 10. Excellent work with the bass John!! I've been trying to write some fills to blend in with it......but with no avail. The song is good enough. Catch you later cuz
It's great to hear sid never said no!!!! Great recordings. Do my ears deceive me, I hear not of a Taylor?
Btw, the annual canoe jam went off without a hitch. I sang a duet with my mother, Hallelujah. I'm sure you would have enjoyed it. Got her to do a cover of Alice in Chains "Brother" with me also with Jeff singing. Good lead song, fun fills. Take it easy up there and hope to see you soon. Peace
