Permission
Whose permission would you need to get married to the person you love?
Realized that I hadn't updated this section since last summer.
Saw Spidey III the other day. not bad for a second sequel.
Some thoughts on the Divinci Code. I was struck by how the errors about history and the church were so blatent in the movie, when I was willing to suspend judgment while reading the book. I really enjoyed seeing the shots of Paris - reminds me that I need to go back soon.
For a good disussion on some of the film's errors check out
the USCCB website
Television
In spite of not cooking, I am constantly watching the Food Network. Met Alton Brown on my most recent trip to New Orleans.
Books
currently reading: The Everlasting Man, by G.K Chesterton - well actually I put it down a while ago and haven't picked it up. I've also been reading different books on Yoga lately. Finally finished Chesterton's Orthodoxy. Just re-read Neuromancer - it had been so long I had forgotten how it ended. Worth the re-read.
Recently read the Clingfire trilogy - some Darkover novels co-authored by Marion Zimmer Bradley and Deborah J. Ross; and How to Date in a Post-Dating World by Diane Mapes. I'm quoted on page 3.
Other books I've read recently include: Letter and Spirit, by Scott Hahn; The First Casualty, by Mike Moscoe; The Child Goddess, by Louise Marley. see blog entry. In the Kings Service by Katherine Kurts Lord Have Mercy by Scott Hahn; Positively Fifth Street, by James McManus
