Hosting a radio show called The Book Squad here in the DC area. I also enjoy reading, writing, going to the movies, and traveling, even though TSA is so intrusive that someone owes me an engagement ring!
Music
Any genre, as long as it's good. My favorite song of all time is Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love."
Movies
To quote Goose in "Top Gun": "The list is long and distinguished."
Television
"Law and Order" (the original); "CSI" (Vegas and Miami); "The Closer"; "The Sopranos"; "Grey's Anatomy"; anything on Court TV and A&E
Books
"Groove," by Geneva Holliday; anything by Jennifer Weiner and D.V. Bernard.
Heroes
My mother, Marina Coakley-Sands; my sisters Christina Thompson-Russell and Angie Thompson; Barack Obama('08, baby!); former Virginia governor Douglas Wilder, especially after he pardoned Allen Iverson; former NYC mayor David Dinkins; Bahamian Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham
About me: I'm a fiction writer living with my dog, Hunter, in the Washington D.C. area. I've written two books thus far: "Back to Life" and "What You Won't Do For Love," named after my two most favorite songs of all time. Brooklyn's the birthplace; Nassau, Bahamas is the ancestral home; and Jersey's where I became a woman and put away childish things.
Who I'd like to meet: Jesus, for some "strategery" on how to be a better person; Martin Luther King, to ask him if this was the dream he'd envisioned; Sigmund Freud, to get insight into my mind; Sojourner Truth, just to hear from one of the original misunderstood Black women in the world; Denzel Washington and Wentworth Miller, for the obvious reason... :-)
This month Kimani Press will have a sneak peek of December's release - Counterfeit Wives by Phillip Thomas Duck. Look for it the last week of this month.
I'm finished with A Demon Awaits , just waiting for cover art now.
Yesterday I scheduled a winery tour to visit the winery where Sin and Vengeance takes place. The vineyard manager is going to give us a tour personally and he's a great guy, so I know the tour will be a good time. Add some great sparkling wine and it'll be a fab Sunday afternoon.
Indulge yourself with “Hand-Dipped Pleasure” by Leannan Mac Llyr.

“This story starts out hot and gets hotter and hotter… it has a great friendship that could develop into something much more and the strawberries just might make you want to try a few of your own” Fallen Angel Review
