Any music that gets you in the solar plexus and makes you want to sing it or sigh with it. Being an incurable chatterbox, words are very important to me so songs of the pen of writers such as Boo Hewerdine, Neil Robertson, Moira Tyers, Leonard Cohen, Dan Fogelburg, Janis Ian, The Indigo Girls, Anne McCue, Sarah Cowan, Bruce Watson, David Wiffen, Brent Parlane...

Wendy’s sound has been likened to Janis Ian, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Lucinda Williams, Eva Cassidy, Linda Ronstadt, Jennifer Warne, Sandy Denny, Maddy Prior, but never Annie Lennox which is a constant source of disappointment.
Wendy got together with herself to play original and sometimes borrowed music - if she really loves the song that is - at a very early age. Chortling before she could walk, harmonising to anything including the fridge, the washing machine and that beep the microwave makes when your peas are cooked, she loves to sing and play. Wendy is lucky enough to play solo gigs around the traps as well as collaborating with her friends Moira and Neil who with her make up the group Unsung recently described as "Rich Chocolate Mud Cake in Sound". Now that's gotta be good! Wendy also recently recorded shoo-ups for Ben Witham and the Betties and is currently working with Jesse Evans preparing to record Jesse's EP.
She has just retured from a trip to the UK and Denmark in April and had the best time playing to some really lovely people. She'd love to do it all again as soon as...

Hi Wendy! Been a while, but I didn't realize you were back in Australia until I saw Wax Lyrical's promo in my email, featuring: You! I'd very much love to catch one of your gigs, even though I'm living south east bayside, and North of this great city, for this busy warbling mum, feels like the other side of the moon. You may ask, now why has this one been so quiet? My daughter is doing her last year of VCE, and somehow, this feels nearly as full on as the nappy days! Say no more, but I'd love you to get in touch and perhaps meet up again in a musical atmosphere, where we can make a toast to the good ol' days of Stephen, The Outpost Russian Bear! Also, your Shower Cd is one of the best I've heard, so it'd be CRUEL if we didn't! Hope to hear from you soon. Susan
Heo Wendy, well that was a big surprise to read your very positive message! Thankyou. I will definitely love to catch up and talk msuic, I mean mcisu, I mean music!! Haha
Hi Wendy - look in your spam mailbox here on Myspace - apparently I sent out too many e mails at once and ALL my mail is now ending up in people's spam box. Only just found out!! Thanks for listening! Simon
Great to hear the UK is treating you well. Life on the road can be very hard & very fun. Sometimes the hard part can be the most fun part.........I never quite understand why thats the case, but it seems to be so.....and usually when theres a great gig at the end of the day, you can forget that any of it was hard at all......
I'm sure you know what I mean.
The UK & mainland Europe must be about to turn a beautiful shade of spring green at the moment.
Thought you were absolutely terrific in Tasmania too and hope to bump in to you again before too long! I'm back in Melbourne at Easter-time. Bye for now, love Mel Robinson
It will be. Right now it's a clone. Fried router then fried motherboard on primary pc. Kind of kept me from doin what needs to be done. Thanks for doing the add thing.
