Wendy first picked up a guitar at sixteen years old and took a summer course at a local high school. Not long after that, she began composing songs, singing them at various locations around the city.
Since then, she has sung in hundreds of venues in Canada, the United States, the West Indes and Europe, honing her songwriting abilities and developing her musical style. Her songs are mostly quiet and reflective, and speak of living, loving, and surviving in a broken world.
It's not all serious, though . . . her comedic side is never very far away and she's got a fairly healthy dose of songs to make you smile. Her "Menopause" song is a favorite with the ladies.
She's also pretty well-known for her jokes and her impersonations - Celine Dion, the Queen, Jean Chretien . . . (that last one is our former prime-minister, for all you non-Canadians). She loves to laugh and to get others laughing, which always makes for a fun event and a good balance of music and hilarity.
