Wendy Jans is an independently-produced artist with a soul-pop sound reminiscent of Colbie Caillat and jazz-tinged vocals often likened to Norah Jones, yet with a voice and unique style that cannot be readily defined. Striving to exemplify the independent artist, Wendy wrote and co-produced her first album “Today”, as well as creating the album artwork and writing 11 of the 12 tracks. Likewise, In June 2009, Wendy released her newest album "Simple as a Song", which she also wrote and this time, co-produced with up-and-coming Nashville producer Chad Carlson, who engineered albums by Taylor Swift, Trisha Yearwood and Chris Isaak.
Wendy has garnered attention from the songwriting community as winner of the River Bluff Performing Songwriting Competition, a finalist in the International Song Search, winner of the Trowbridge Symposium and has received honorable mentions in the Billboard World Song Contest and Nashville Song Search. In the summer of 2008, Wendy was commissioned to write a theme song, which she titled “I Love This Town”, for a rural revitalization campaign presented by the Federal Home Loan Bank and Capital Communities. Wendy has received radio play in Nashville’s Lightening 100fm, XM satellite radio, various internet radio as well as Nashville’s Public Radio.

Silence was like a voice, When words were left unspoken When thoughts were over before said As the last moment was a final breath To late to say sorry, but never too late To hold fast to sorrow forever and more
Never too late to say goodbye Never too late to whisper in gratitude When the good deeds were laid to rest Gone to visit the morrow A land of everlasting love
To hear what there was to hear, To listen for what would always remain The sound of a voice, once held within a heart The sound of your love that left behind
Never too late to say goodbye Never too late to whisper in gratitude When the good deeds were laid to rest Gone to visit the morrow A land of everlasting love
Sometimes when i look around, all i see is misery, despair, frustration and pain...
Then, i close my eyes, take a couple deep breaths, RELAX...And ask myself, "WHAT IF all I saw was what I WANTED TO SEE?" Then, I open my eyes. I see the sun, I see the blue sky, I see my girls smiling back at me, I see life...
And then, lo and behold, I see nothing but OPPORTUNITY...

Yo Wendy Jansasaurus. I just found out that we're related...and as a special family only present we've made a new song for you called "End of Days" (start doing backflips now). It's an epic instrumental opus to the moment when our ancient Dino relatives saw a large fiery object plummeting towards them. Please come to our page, give it a listen and let us know if it makes you feel like something catastrophic is gonna happen. If the song upsets you too much we will be holding several s support groups (read: comcerts) in the near future. Check our page for locations, dates and times.
Hey Wendy, I just got back from Smith's. I wanted to see you play but the guy at the door said that you had just finished. I guess I'm going to have to make a trip up to Nashville!
