The unique sound of WENDY comes courtesy of Jay Benham, Nick Moffat and Paul Moulton. Their music is a blend of unmistakable vocal textures and strong, haunting melodies. Expect chilled-out breaks, soaring Moogs and twisted electronics along the way. Sometimes cinematic, sometimes intimate, always exquisite.
So dim the lights, and say hello to WENDY.
"Our plan was always to write the music that we ourselves wanted to hear - something with a bit of substance, especially after having spent years bouncing around in house clubs!
But we had no idea just how things would turn out when we started. I suppose it helps that the band has it's own immediately recognisable sound, but right now people can't seem to get enough of it & we're absolutely stoked!"
Jay Benham (2006).
Their debut album Fetch The Manual has already turned the heads of a number of London's A&R men, and the band have been playing live gigs across London since October 2006. They are now back in the studio, writing and recording new material for further tour dates in 2007.
Danny Clark and Jay Benham ft SuSu Bobien - Wondrous
"Flying the flag for British producers, Danny Clark and Jay Benham team up with the wondrous songstress that is Su Su Bobien for a fantastic vocal house workout. The main mix crams the full range of tricks into it, from nifty organ lines and funky licks to a killer bassline and a storming vocal from Ms Bobien, to fully immerse yourself into. For the dub, the boys take things a touch deeper, and with extra mixes still to come from DJ Spen amongst others, and talk of a major UK license for the track, this is destined for big things in 2008. (Curtis Zack)"
Andy Holder drops his 3rd offering on Soulfunk Digital.
And continuing the quality production, he serves up a tasty number that should get any body movin'. Dope beats, ass shakin' bass lines & grooves to move the party right!! With strong support from leading industry DJs & producers, this is destined to do the business through the winter months & onwards.
Greetings WENDY:-)thanks for the update. As a fellow Wendy,I understand where you're coming from~howver, when people are wondering where the hell I've been...I sometimes just stay gone:-)depends on who's wondering.I guess.
Thanks for not staying gone:-)

PS: check out images of the nite at my myspace site.
I can't tell from that map thing whether it gives your location as the postcode you've registered your myspace to, or the actual place where you are logging on from? Anyway, hope the gig goes well, I'm sorry to be missing it
