WNMEX was created in Gregg's small cramped house on Hoffer at the time when Gregg was recovering from Chemo. Combining their influences and resources, Cristian and Gregg began to record and write songs together. The direct result being the track ' Consumer Man", a big f*^& you to the excess of consumerism and strip mall culture that is embedded in America today. When the first line hits, "I can't seem to get enough. The more I take the more I want," you understand their frustration with dumbed-down American society. Recording and rehersing in Gregg's small house, it wasnt until the addition of Lindsay (Webber) Manfredi that the line-up was complete.
WNMEX's music is a mixture of punk's raw energy, Sun Records timeless Rockabily, the edgeiness of the 80's post punk art rock movement, and the full anthems of sing-a-long stadium rock. Make sure to make it a priority to see them live at a watering hole near you.
Thanks for playing our party last night Lindsay, Cristian and Gregg. You folks kicked ass and everyone loved it, especially Vicki and I! I hope IDK and We're Not Mexican can play another gig together soon, it'd be a blast for sure!
Lindsay, Thanks for organizing everything and agreeing to play our party at the Melody Inn at the last minute...We are looking forward to seeing you play again, you guys always rock!
