How did I get the name Wes Cleveland? I adopted the name after shopping around looking at who I am and what I love. I lost my brother 6 years back. I remember when we moved back to Cleveland from New York. Everyone in the hood started calling my brother New York. On his pamphlet for his homecoming. It read, "IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANDRE B. JOHNSON (New York)." I want to say with his passing I began my second start as a rap artist. I made a promise to him. Now! I will do something that I was always afraid of doing, but knew I was good at. Right now!! I'm currently a solo artist, but working on some projects with other artists, globally. I can write reggae, inspirational, gospel, hip hop, soul, R&B, rap, hardcore rap, rock, club, metal, country and crunk....Yeah! I said it for all my close minded enemies who don't know good music if it was to smack you upside your head. I'm very diverse with my music writing. I'm a songwriter first. Then an entertainer second. I'm currently a full-time student at Palomar College working on my Business Management Degree.
