Community Service Projects that we have held so far include running the kitchen for the Ark & Dove School of Music, pre-school vision screening, Selling of Car Raffle Tickets (see Blog), Gift-of-Sight to the Elderly, Campaign SightFirst II, Diabetes Awareness, Eye glass collection and sorting, amongst others.

關於我： West Arundel Lions Club (WALC) is one of the two last chartered club in District 22-A in the state of Maryland. We are comprised of 17 members - male & female - current youngest member is 21. There are currently 5 family memberships in our club. Severn River Rivers Club was our sponsoring club and our Guiding Lions hail from there. Our charter night was held on 1 June 2007 - but our club charter was signed into effect on October 12, 2006.
We chose the "Train" symbol & "Onboard" to represent our club since our service area is right smack in the middle of the B&O railway which has a strong history here in Maryland. The West Arundel Lions' service area includes Annapolis Junction, Crofton, Crownsville, Fort Meade, Gambrills, Hanover, Harmans, Jessup, Maryland City, Millersville, Odenton, and Severn.
Our Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at the "Daily Diner" located on Rt 175 in the Odenton Shopping Center located at 1103 Annapolis Road (across from the DQ). We are always looking for new members and community service projects. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or need assistance. Stop by and visit during a meeting. We meet at 6:00 social time 6:29 Meeting starts. We end before 8:30 - usually out by 8.

Convention was great as always! Saw many old friends and made several new ones. I was asked to be a part of next year's cabinet - as the Zone chair! So I will be even more busy than I am now as your President - but the good thing is I will have the information from district in a more timely manner.
