Critically acclaimed as a "soaringly talented" ensemble performing music of "transformative power" (Night and Day with Anne Nicolai), The West Bank Winds is a woodwind quintet based in Minneapolis, MN. The five original members studied together at the University of Minnesota where they were members of the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Formed in the Fall of 2005, the group has become a versatile chamber ensemble performing in many different venues and capacities. They have given performances in venues ranging from dinner music and reception entertainment to full recitals at the School of Music and performances in Ted Mann Concert Hall in Minneapolis. The West Bank Winds regularly conduct sessions and clinics at local schools - if you are intersted in booking the group for your school, please contact the WBW at the email address listed below! All five members currently maintain private studios and are always looking for new students. The group is available for hire! Please contact with any requests at the email listed below! They would also love to be your Myspace friend.Furthering their commitment to teaching, several members of the group founded the 4th Street Music Collective, a non-incorporated organization of music teachers offering private lessons. The West Bank Winds have a busy season planned for 2008-09 - details will be posted shortly!Contact us at westbankwinds@gmail.com
Hi all! I'm loving listening to Roaring Fork and am thoroughly enjoying your music. Thanks for being my friends and please come visit and listen to Animalogy!
If you FLY WITH THE WIND and KEEP YOUR SOUL TOGETHER, most likely you WON'T DANCE but rather have VIELE KLEINE SACHEN . Check out this new song.
Cheers from G-town

Cities Live!
“When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men. Valentine defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, he was put to death.”
It’s always good to know why this day was chosen to celebrate love. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Bless your bloody little heart dearie....

howdie all,
I just stopped to re-live the magic that is WBW and I realized that I hadn't noticed that you all are in the twin cities area! I will be in St. Paul later this month (27th) for a composer workshop and recording session of one of my pieces by Duo 46 (guitar/violin duet). Will you guys be playing around that time? It'd be cool to check you out and meet some of you if so.
