Pioneer of the So Cal punk rock sound Donnell Cameron solidifies the statement that great records can still be made with tape machines. From the 60s style garage bands of the late 1980s, the punk rock resurgence of the 1990s, to the rock-n-roll phenomena of the new millennium there is no type of music that Donnell has yet to come across. He has produced and engineered some of the great modern pop records and has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon
Captain of this highly creative staff, Donnell and his crew of C.R.A.S. graduates always look forward to the challenge of a new recording session. He is always willing to offer his skills, tips, and techniques that he has accumulated over the decades; his awards speak volumes. Combining influences from both the past and present, Donnell charges on blazing new trails into the next era of modern music recording.
Seth Hum
Studio Manager
Raised in Visalia California a small Central Valley town, Seth Hum moved to Los Angeles after graduating from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Science in Tempe Arizona in 1999. Upon completing his internship at Epitaph Records Seth landed his first full time gig at N.O.V.A. Productions, a voice-over-recording studio. Eventually he became the head of the audio department working with many celebrities and producing hundreds of ad campaigns both regional and national for film, television, theater, and radio.
Seth is Westbeach Recorders new studio manager, but is no newcomer to the Westbeach history. He has worked on projects in past years with Donnell Cameron and has been a fan of his work for over a decade. With strengths in business, promotions, and a solid recording background. Seth looks forward to continuing the legacy that Westbeach has made for itself over the years. Most recently he has produced the last 5 releases for Fallen-Angel-Records artists Cacti Widders, The Filthies, and Running On Fumes at Westbeach.
Ian Petersen
Engineer
As a Los Angeles native and long time fan of the Westbeach "sound", Ian Petersen felt destined to engineer at Westbeach Recorders. Ian began engineering professionally after graduating from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona - a recommendation that came directly from Westbeach. Prior to arriving at Westbeach Ian completed an internship at the now - extinct Scream Studios, worked as a freelance engineer at various studios in LA and even operated live sound in several popular venues.
Ian realized his call to engineering after years in recording studios with his Los Angeles based punk band, Abductors. Combining his love for music, computers, and fascination for recording, it seemed only natural to pursue a career as an audio engineer.
Before engineering, Ian's computer skills lead him to website design for TSOL (Nitro), Abductors and Fallen-Angel-Records. Ian's recording skills hold true in quality to the classic Westbeach sound, after all, to him, anything less would be unacceptable.
