Well, today marks a very unique day in Westchester's existence. As of today the band has decided to split up and go our seperate ways. I myself like to think that I speak for the entire band when I say that we cannot thank you enough for everything that you have done. I've been doing this band for a long time, it started with just a little idea in my head and have been adding to it ever since. I haven't really paid attention to how long Westchester's been around, I just checked our 'member since' date... 9/10/05 I think it was... holy shit! And some of you out there have been listening ever since then and a special thanks goes out to you. There's no hard feelings between us, it's just a bit difficult having 5 guys together and trying to be on the exact same page as time progresses. We just all evolved in different ways and our interests swayed into directions that Westchester wasn't heading. Thank you so much for ever coming to a show, getting a CD, listening, hearing about us, hating us, just having anything to do with Westchester in general. Another special thanks goes out to the guys at 102.1 The Edge including Ayo, especially, and Jessie who both tried to help us make it and Peter Welpton from the Lex and Terry show. The list of people to thank could be endless, but a thanks needs to be said to Billy from Subview Studios who gave us deals that I'm sure made it not even worth his time to sit through all of our shit all weekend! We will all be pursuing music and I will keep this account open to let you know about any new projects that develop. We also have an unreleased song that's not totally finished being mixed and mastered but I might put that online, too. I'm hoping the other members will post a little goodbye speech on here shortly so I guess keep your eyes peeled for that and get excited for possibly 5 new bands to emerge! I've had such an amazing time doing this and so I seriously can't thank you enough.
Take care, Oliver.
Hey everyone! I want to say thank you to any one out there whose ever come into contact with Westchester, I love the band and the music we played, however as Oliver said up there, its hard to get 5 different people on the same page. Having been a new edition to the Westchester world I have only been a part of the band for the last year, however, its the best experience I have ever had being in a band and have to admit that it might be the best I will ever have, the people the music, the dedication. Its amazing what we found we could do and to watch the things that seemed so far out of reach come so much closer and sometimes even land within our grasp. Im sad to see it go, but it seems its too far gone at this point. I have no hard feelings toward anybody in the band, and I hope to see them flourish in what ever they pursue. Please keep checking this page for more updates about the members, I promise there will be some interesting stuff! Ill never forget the last year ive had with these guys. Hopefully there will be many years to come with them, whether or not our relationship has to do with music. Its weird to think that a year ago I got a phone call from a distraught singer looking for new members for his band, and since then we have accomplished so much that so many people will never know about. Ill miss Westchester forever. But I can't wait to see what these guys do on their own.
Thank you everyone.
