West Fest 2009 - Rain Didn't Stop Play!

Despite the worst West Fest weather on record, this year's festival was a great success. The Malvern Gazette tells all about it.

Thanks to everyone who came, and especially to those who volunteered. Thanks to the 15 bands who played and gave us a whole day and an evening of wonderful music and dance. Thanks also to our sponsors and those who helped publicise the event. It was a great day!

The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage. Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
