West London Deep is the project of house music producer, remixer and DJ Dave Hedger and his current production partner Gary Burns. Dave began his musical career in the late 80s, working with house music pioneers such as David Holmes and Rocky & Diesel (X-Press 2) before forming the seminal Innersphere. With Andy Weatherall, as Lords of Afford, he toured the UK and Europe and appeared live on Radio One's Annie Nightingale show and on the late John Peel's Sessions. As a DJ he has played all over the world, rocking the dance tent at the V Festival, taking the Terrace at Space by storm and standing out on Pete Tong's Wall Of Sound Essential Mix. In 2004 he recorded a track with reggae legend Big Youth for Wall Of Sound's imaginative Two Culture Clash album, entitled "Rudie No!", and his remix of Bent's single "Comin' Back" received rave reviews and appeared on the Ministry Annual Summer compilation. As West London Deep, Dave has recorded many successful singles by himself and in collaboration, including one of Pete Tong's Essential New Tunes, "You're Taking Me Over" (subsequently retitled "Gonna Make You My Lover"). The West London Deep single "Inside My Head", featuring vocals by (sic). Man, was released to great acclaim. Lottie, standing in for Pete Tong on Radio One's Essential Selection, described it as "a big, big room tune". Tongy played it as part of his Weekend Hot Mix, and it made the DMC Buzz Chart top ten. "Another piece of dance floor destruction" was their opinion, "watch this one fly." "Dark Matter" was released at the end of last year as another limited edition white label and, on its first week of release, Tongy once again played it as part of his Weekend Hot Mix. He played it two more times in his Weekend Hot Mix and played it as part of the Buzz Chart when it went top ten at the end of February. As a remixer Dave has added his magic touch to tunes by the likes of Moby, Orbital, Röyksopp, Infadels, Kosheen, Alison Limerick, Apollo 440 and The Dub Pistols, garnering a string of top five Buzz Chart placings in the process. Gary Burns began his musical career in the mid 80s working with producers and artists such as Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Heatwave and Sting's producer Kipper. In the 90s Gary was a founder member of the highly acclaimed band The Sabres Of Paradise alongside partners Jagz Kooner and legendary DJ/Producer Andrew Weatherall. The band achieved chart success with singles such as "Wilmot" and "Smokebelch" and albums such as "Sabresonic" and "Haunted Dancehall". During this same period he was also a member of The Aloof, another highly acclaimed dance act that achieved Top 40 status in the UK with "One Night Stand". Other singles included "Wish You Were Here" and "Bittersweet". Gary has toured extensively and performed on many radio and television shows around the globe. He worked alongside David Holmes on his first two albums "This Film's Crap Lets Slash The Seats" and "Lets Get Killed" and also on three film soundtracks - "Resurrection Man", "Supply & Demand" and "Shopping". He has co-written with many DJs and producers, notching up an impressive track record, with 12 UK hit singles, 80+ remixes, 12 albums, 7 film soundtracks and a dozen advertising campaigns including Levi's and Vodaphone. Gary has also remixed some of the biggest acts in the world including U2, New Order, The Chemical Brothers, Leftfield and Björk.
