Cellophony is a band of four Nashville, Tennessee boys. Two of them grew up on the same street. Two of them swam at the same pool. Three of them went to the same high school. Two of them went to Ivy League Universities. Three of them moved to the Northeast for an extended period of time. Two of them currently live in Nashville. One of them plays the cello. This one also grew up on the same street as one of the two who swam together. The other one who swam but never lived on the previously mentioned road has moved back to Nashville but did not go to an ivy league school. And that just leaves the one who stayed in Nashville the whole time. He went to the same school as the two Ivy Leaguers before they were of such high distinction. He is also the truest of all the young men.
To clarify things:
HAMILTON is the cellist of Cellophony. He is finishing studies at the prestigious Juilliard School and fulfills cello duties of indie rock sensations VAMPIRE WEEKEND. This should please MATT, as Vampire Weekend is a band he would probably really like if he wasn't half a world away teaching English to children in Turkey. Conrad does all sorts of things for the group including but not limited to: singing, bassing, guitaring, drumming and foam fingering. His good friend JULIAN is the group's producer and also sings and plays guitar on occasion. These days, he is touring the world with THE YOUNG REPUBLIC. When he is at home, he can be found pallin' around with WES , who is the folk singer of Cellophony and a damn fine old time guitar player. He is also the most beautiful red headed receptionist on music
row.
The band has plans to play their annual winter show and is working on their third full length album, a reading of Bob Dylan's book Tarantula with composed music accompanying the entire text.
