TelevisionI love sitcoms, at least, I used to love them. I hate most of the new ones, so I just watch the old ones that are constantly being rereleased on DVD. My favorite sitcom ever is NewsRadio.

My other favorite TV show is Sports Night, which was about twenty times better than the West Wing.

Of current television shows, I follow Battlestar Galactica, though I think that it is going downhill faster than Rafael Palmiero's career. The other two shows that have captured my time are The Office and Lost. I have recently started watching Hell's Kitchen.

I also love/hate anime.

Favorite Anime EVER!

1. Rurouni Kenshin
2. Cowboy Bebop
3. Full Metal Panic!
4. Ah! My Goddess
5. Trigun

BooksFavorite books! The Song of Ice and Fire (series) by George R. R. Martin
HeroesI, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can beat them, just for one day
We can be Heroes, just for one day

And you, you can be mean
And I, I'll drink all the time
'Cause we're lovers, and that is a fact
Yes we're lovers, and that is that

Though nothing, will keep us together
We could steal time, just for one day
We can be Heroes, for ever and ever
What d'you say?

I, I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim
Though nothing, nothing will keep us together
We can beat them, for ever and ever
Oh we can be Heroes, just for one day

I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can be Heroes, just for one day
We can be us, just for one day

I, I can remember (I remember)
Standing, by the wall (by the wall)
And the guns, shot above our heads (over our heads)
And we kissed, as though nothing could fall (nothing could fall)
And the shame, was on the other side
Oh we can beat them, for ever and ever
Then we could be Heroes, just for one day

We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be Heroes

We're nothing, and nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying, then you better not stay
But we could be safer, just for one day

Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh, just for one day

About me:
I would like to take this opportunity to mention my current obsession with the song "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas. There are few songs (but many by the Black Eyed Peas) that serve both to entertain, and to instill in me the desire to remove both my eyes with a grapefruit spoon. If you have not heard this masterpiece yet, I advise you to go to your nearest strip club (or 102.7 KIIS FM in the Southland) and wait about five minutes. You will be obliged.

Some excellent rhyme progression:
Wha' you gon' do wit' all that junk? All that junk inside that trunk?
Wha' you gon' do wit' all that ass? All that ass inside them jeans?
Wha' you gon' do wit' all that breast? All that breast inside that shirt?

I collect independent toys:

Who I'd like to meet:
Up until two months ago, the answer to this question would be Will Wright, but mission accomplished! I also met my comic book hero, Darywn Cooke at Comic Con this year. I suppose this list needs new blood, so without further ado, the new who I'd like to meet. I'd love to meet Steve Jobs (more than the time I opened the door for him at the Apple campus in Cupertino) and anyone from IDEO (because I'm totally fascinated by their corporate culture). That said, I guess I'd also like to meet people from Pixar and other creative companies.

Just a reminder that Requiem for an Assassin, the sixth in the award-winning thriller series featuring half-Japanese, half-American assassin John Rain, comes out on May 22. Place your order with your favorite bookstore now to make sure you get a copy...

I'll be on the road for a month promoting it, in the San Francisco Bay Area (Menlo Park, San Mateo, Santa Rosa), Seattle, Ft. Lewis, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Boulder, Houston, Ft. Hood, Albuquerque, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Carmel (Indianapolis), Bethesda (DC), West Chester (Philadelphia), NYC. Details on my profile page. If you're around for one of these events, come on by -- it would be great to see you.

Thanks for all your support and I hope you enjoy reading the new Rain as much as I enjoyed writing it -- and I hope to see you while I'm on the road!

Cheers,
Barry

Dude - like get off your ass and start playing again.

It's not like you learned how to play bass on 10 songs, never having picked up a friggin bass before.

Oh wait.

Uh yeah you did. Proves my point exactly why the Chu-Funkster needs to pick the gauntlet of rock back up.

Also, My wife is having her grad party on May 5th and I'm getting the De La Hoya fight - my band will be playing too. Let me know if you are down and I'll get you directions.

I would not disagree. Also, Americans do not know how to play soccer as it is intended to be played.

Never *ever* buy a girl a toy you might truly covet for yourself. Especially if it is vinyl. Especially if it is limited edition.

If Michael had been cloned instead of that simpering weakling Jango Fett, the clone army never would have turned on the Jedi.
