Rising from the northern suburbs of Perth Western Australia, West of October, consisting of band members Corey Hodgetts (lead vocals), Aron Tucker (guitar), Chris Anastassiou (guitar), Baz Taylor (bass & backing vocals) and George Tucker (drums and backing vocals) deliver a special blend of hard rock and metal seldom seen in Perth.
From hammering in your face dirty rock to melodic ballads and even prog-metal, West of October aren’t afraid to venture outside one genre.
Merging onto the Perth original scene in early October 2007 West of October was quick to make friends with some other great Perth acts. They saw themselves playing their debut gig with Emerald City at their first all ages show at HQ.
With consistent gigging through the months of November and December, West of October ended the year on a high with a big night at Club Capitol supporting Emerald City for their sell-out end of year show and another massive night soon after at Black Betty’s with good friends The Falling Frequency.
West of October are gearing up for a big 2008 with more shows and plans to hit the studio by mid-year.
There hasn’t been a better time than the present to get out and discover a new division in the Hard Rock scene and embrace in what is West of October!

After a good start to the year with some good supports behind them Aron, George and Chris decided the grass was greener on the other side and jumped ship.
Corey and Baz tried out other muzos on the Perth scene but decided to go back to the Original plan and record the West of October album.
This recording has been 5 years in the making and out of 28 songs we have chosen 12 to make up the album.

Q from Cross Critical is Producing the c.d with Corey and are involving some Known names from the local scene to add some flavour to the final mix.

OMG guess what i finished my cert II Business Traineeship when i finished school and then stayed on for a another year to do my cert III which i completed 2 weeks ago and now hehhehe......Im now Learning Portfolio Administrative Assistant for Business and Management at Central TAFE isnt that so great ive grown so much since school.......anyways had to let you know the great news...anything new with u?
