I consider myself a postmodernist. I love all genres and consider Ray Bradbury, Robert Heinlein, Peter Straub, Clive Barker and Dashiell Hammett my literary Charons. I love comic books, read voraciously about pop culture, and try not to get bogged down in politics.

About me: Hi. My name is Weston and I've been writing science fiction and horror
since the mid-90s. In fact, I'm obsessed with it. I've won the Bram
Stoker Award, been nominated for the Pushcart Prize for Fiction and
can't get enough.
I've been in a bunch of magazines, anthologies and comic
books, such as The Keep,
Angel, CSI:NY
and Shadowplay,
as well as Horror Garage
and Insidious Reflections.
I have written articles on writing which have appeared in such books as
the Writer's Digest
Book's Writing Horror.
My first novel, Scarecrow
Gods, sold out to popular acclaim in the summer of 2005.
My second novel, Recalled
to Life, sold out to similar acclaim in 2006. Scarecrow Gods is
due out in paperback in May 2008. The sequel to Recalled to Life is
called The Golden Thread
and is due out in July 2008.
Other than writing, I live in Southern Arizona with my wife and fellow
author, Yvonne Navarro, and my two steeds (Great Danes) Pester Ghost
Palm Eater and Goblin Monster Dog. I am a retired U.S. Army
Interrogator, have traveled to over 50 countries and have a story for
every occasion.
Please email, comment or write to me. Whichever way you choose, I
promise I'll write back. This is not a threat.

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE is now in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten so far:
“SACRIFICE is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend SACRIFICE.” —Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes
Hi, Episode 2 of The Ad Astral podcast is out: The Radical Intergalactic Travel Agency, by DJ Burnham “It had finally happened, an alien invasion! But it wasn't quite what they'd been expecting. ” Click on the image to take you to the Ad Astral Website Hope you enjoy it.
Issue 2 celebrates Heaven, Earth, and Space in-between; it is touched by religion, grounded in technology and comfortable with the occult.
Including a language-stretching piece triggered by the Talmud from the legendary Hugh Fox, poems by haiku heavy-hitter Jim Kacian, the surprisingly touching “By Zombies; Eaten” from Christopher William Buecheler, and an alien perspective on human spirituality by Tina Connolly in the remarkable “The Salivary Reflex”
— all part of a drool-worthy two-hundred page selection of over twenty authors and artists.
Have a great week! "I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me."~ Sir Isaac Newton
