Located in California's Great Central Valley (Stanislaus County), the West Side Theatre is approximately 1.5 hours from San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, or Fresno. The cities of Modesto and Merced are within 30 miles. The theatre is a restored 1940 movie house now serving as a performing arts venue. It is operated by a nonprofit foundation. All staff are volunteers. Seating has been converted to cabaret style. Musical artists are booked for Friday or Saturday nights. Several plays are presented during the year.
