Andy Dashwood. He can sing you a song, he can play it on guitar. He can fix your vintage bike or build you a Hot Rod. He's a respected member in many circles around Brisbane.
"I love playing in 'The Crude. It's all about good times and I think one of this bands great qualities is to generate that sort of feeling". Andy's passion for music is reflected in every performance.
Jon Flynn has played with some of the greats while on tour overseas and admits that taking up double bass 20 years ago has given him some of the best experiences of his life.
Coojee Timms has a long list of musical achievements to his name. Always in demand and for good reason, too. He's The beat, The beat, The beat.
Influences
If it rocked, its an influence. From hillbilly to rockabilly to rock'n'roll, country and roots.
The 'Crude have been one of Brisbane's favourite rockabilly trios for years. Hard working and hard rockin'.
Musically, The 'Crude has been described as playing "the best of Sun rockabilly", keeping alive the roots rock music of the 1950's
Adept at fronting the band, Andy Dashwood never lets an audience down with his sangin' and guitar twangin'. His right hand man, Jon Flynn knows his way around an upright bass. He'll be glad to sing you a few too. If you know Brisbane music, then you'll know Coojee Timms on 'sticks and skins. .
West Texas Crude can fill a dance floor and are versatile enough to be tailor-made for any venue. Pub to corporate function.

Yes it's true...I'm doing Dry July. I know you probably don't believe that I'm actually taking a month off the booze, but I am, and it's all for the very worthy cause that benefits the lives of adults living with cancer right across Australia.
In support of my brave 'Dry' efforts both myself and our fabulous hospitals across Australia would greatly appreciate any generous donations you may be able to provide.
I've set up my profile page where you can see how I'm going, make a donation and contribute to my messages of support.
Alternatively, you can head to the homepage (www.dryjuly.com) and make a donation to me using the search feature.
It's definitely not going to be an easy month for me, but I'm confident I can make it through the challenge! Maybe it's something you could try as well? You can always buy a Golden Ticket if you need to have a drink during July!
I hope you believe in the concept as much as I do and can help while I go Dry this July!
PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ANYBODY YOU THINK MAY BE INTERESTED IN SUPPORTING ME.
