About me: This is a league that was created in September of 2007. We are still recruiting!! If you are interested in being a part of the of Roller Derby in the Lubbock area please contact me via this page or at westtexasrollerdollz@gmail.com. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!! We will train hard to be able to bout so please come at least give it a shot if you are interested. You will be surprised how much a part of your life Derby becomes!!!
PRACTICES ARE EVERY SUNDAY, 4:30-6:30pm and THURSDAYS, 7-9 AT SOUTHWEST SPORTSPLEX ON UPLAND & 82ND (7116 82nd). The rink has skates you can use until you are able to get your own speed skates. Cost will be $6.00 per practice (please bring exact change if you can) and we recommend you have knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards & a helmet for your first practice. There will be some loaners but it is first come first serve!!We recommend quality when it comes to pads so if you have a question on what pads to get visit SIN CITY SKATES BY CLICKING HERE
If you are interested in being a part of Roller Derby, our new skater orientation is every Sunday at 4:00pm. We recommend if you are interested in giving it a shot to just come on out and put on some skates and see if it is for you. This will give you time to fill out the paperwork, get skates, pay the fee and get any more information you may need. SUNDAYS ONLY FOR NEW SKATERS!! Ask for Lethal Whoopin'.
This league will be created around the WFTDA's (Women's Flat Track Derby Association)rules and requirements. To find out more information and/or to read the rules to the game visit, WFTDA.
This is a great way to get physical activity as well as gain priceless friendships along the way. Check out the videos on this page to see what derby is all about.
There is also be a need for Coaches, Refs, volunteers, etc. so it isn't limited to female only so if you think derby is too much of a contact sport for you there are other positions to fill. 18 and over only please.

The West Texas Roller Dollz is a charity focused league comprised of strong-minded women who love the sport and are determined to give back to the community as frequently as possible. For each home bout the WTRD will choose a charity they will focus on as well as give a portion of our bout proceeds to as well.

he Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Great Strides T as their charity.
We would like to ask for your help and enlist your support. We recently signed up to participate in GREAT STRIDES: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis, which is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's annual, nationwide walk.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Much progress has been made toward finding a cure for CF, however, the CF Foundation's work is far from over, as precious young lives continue to be lost to this disease.
I will be walking on May 1oth, 2008in Lubbock at the Lubbock Christian University with a large group of Dollz in honor of Miranda Pressure. Collectively, we would like to raise more than $1500.00 for vital CF research. We would appreciate a donation of whatever your budget allows. Your charitable contribution is 100 percent tax deductible. I enjoyed hanging out with everyone that was at Woody Stock! I wish that I could hang out with ya'll Sunday in Amarillo but I won't be able to be there, the old lady and kids will be there. Whoop some RT 66 butt!
