W.E.T's Interests

Erica Brauer was born and raised in Portland Oregon, where she began acting at the age of 9. She soon realized that acting was her future career, when she was cast as the lead in a high school play when she was in the 6th grade! She studied theatre and biology at the University of Southern California, and continues living in LA to pursue her acting career. One day, Erica decided that it was very unfair to charge actors (who are already starving artists) dues every month to be in a production, so she founded Women’s Ensemble Theatre with the help of Adrian Borden and Kelly O’leary. She has been in shows such as Dracula, Museum, and Two Noble Kinsmen, and has also directed and written one acts and full length plays such as Alice in Wonderland. She had her TV debut a year ago, on the CBS special A Heroes Welcome. She is looking forward to her next TV/film role.
Tiffany Roberts is from the great state of Oklahoma. She began her journey in Jr. High in Mrs. Cook's 9th grade Intro to Drama class and took every class offered to her in theatre until she recieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Performance in May of 2005 from Oklahoma State University. (Go Pokes)While in college she performed in such plays as West Side Story, Into the Woods, Trojan Women, and The Misanthrope. She moved to L.A. in October of 2005 and took part in the T.V.I. 3 month Professional Actors Training Program. From there she has been auditioning and performing as much as she can and is greatful that she serendipidously became a part of the Womens Ensemble Theatre.
Hollie Mendillo is originally from Warwick, RI, which she considers to be the unknown but true center of the universe. She received her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Brown University, but her passion for theatre began much earlier and was cemented in high school, when Hollie auditioned at the local all-boys Catholic high school, hoping to gain valuable acting experience and find a boyfriend. She did both and it worked out pretty well--she married the boy she met during Godspell last winter and she is living happily in the land of warmth and sunshine pursuing her career in acting and directing.
ADRIAN LEE BORDEN earned her BFA in Fine Arts and Theatre from Niagara University in Lewiston, NY, though she hails from Birmingham, Alabama! She moved out to Los Angeles in July of 2005. She is theatre through and through, though her life in L.A. has brought about some great film and television opportunities. In addition to Women's Ensemble Theatre, Adrian also puts a great deal of her energy into her voiceover career and into choreographing for and dancing/singing in her dance company, the Satin Dollz, where her alias is "Bettie." ( www.satindollz.com) She is always primed and ready for the next new, exciting project!
L.A. Film Credits: Choir Student #5 in Garry Marshall's "Georgia Rule," Stand-In: Laurie in Rob Zombie's "Halloween."
L.A. Theatre Credits: Florence in "The Odd Couple (Female)" and Bianca/Fight Choreographer in "Othello." One day, she hopes to be living in London and performing happily on the West End stage.
Jessica Shelby is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) with a BA in Theatre and a minor in Communication. She’s hails from the San Francisco Bay Area, but after spending six years in sunny Los Angeles, she now considers this city her home. Her recent theatre credits are Alice in Wonderland and A House that God Hates, both W.E.T. productions performed at The Sherry Theatre. Jessica currently studies acting at Anthony Meindl’s Actor’s Lab, where her acting muscle gets stretched every week. As a member of Women’s Ensemble Theatre’s board of directors, she hopes that everyone will jump in and get W.E.T!
Charity Pirkle started her acting career as a child in Birmingham, Alabama in commercials, plays, and fashion shows. She took a break from professional acting to focus on her education and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. While living there, she attended Oglethorpe University and
began her professional acting career. She now lives in Hollywood California and is continuing her artistic pursuits through theatre, voice over work, and small/large screen ventures. Charity has always been an outgoing and cheerful person who is able to quickly tap into other outlets to create unique characters.

About me:
W.E.T. News
Women's Ensemble Theatre, founded May 2006, in Los Angeles, CA, is a women-driven, actor-derived, nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering female artists and strengthening our community.
Women’s Ensemble Theatre provides a fun and safe environment for artists to cultivate new and current talents. All members are encouraged to write, act, produce and direct, and, while our primary creative outlet is the theatre, we encourage all of our members to explore every medium of the entertainment industry. Our goal is to develop versatile artists capable of creating more dynamic work for women and tackling the most challenging roles.
At the same time, Women’s Ensemble Theatre strives to provide the community with professional productions held to the highest standards of excellence. Through the awesome power of the performing arts, the ensemble hopes to educate and entertain, but it does not stop there, members are also encouraged to give back to our community through group sponsored charity events and outreach programs.
Women’s Ensemble Theatre is committed to helping others—whether it be actors like ourselves struggling to break into the industry, school children who do not have the opportunity to see or perform in a play, or mothers working multiple jobs to support their families—all stand to benefit from our work, for we pledge to utilize our talents, our funding, and our feminine sensibilities responsibly to ensure our positive impact on society.
While, by definition, the ensemble is a women’s organization, men are encouraged to join and audition for our productions. Together we can broaden the depth and scope of the Los Angeles theatre scene, and, in doing so, build a stronger community.
The are no limits to what you can achieve when you “Jump In and Get W.E.T.”
