CRACKED were a kick ass band that split up in early 2004. They dropped alotta bombs and had way sweet gig flyers. They released one album back in 2001 entitled 'At Home' and two EPs - 'EP1' and before parting ways, the 'NightSurf' EP (which rocks and is ultra rare - 50 copies only).
They played all over London with weekend headline slots at the Garage (dude from the Pet Shop Boys came to see them here once). Then the BBC thought they were so bad ass they invited them to come and play on Top O' The Pops in 2002 - this was before they were even that good. They got orderves, a make over and free beer.
You used to be able to see the vid over at crackedmusic.com but that's gone down now (we'll dig it out of the vaults for all you pop slags out there someday). You'll have to make do with the totally fucking sweet video our good compadre Lou did. Its called San Francisco (loosley based around the time Rob lived out there doing sweet FA). It was filmed by Lou in Clapham, London by the common early one rainy sunday morning. We were supremely hungover and felt like total shit.
The band continued to rock London. Some management co. courted them for a while but it didnt pan out. Then MTV's The Real World also got in touch. They wanted some tracks without vocals but instead, we told em to go shove it up their old wazoo. Schmucks.
