This MySpace page is dedicated to wine drinking, sharing wine information, and eventually will offer links to an online wine website where users can log in and keep track of wines they have tasted. For more information on the upcoming website see below!
In the mean time, and ongoing, this MySpace will serve as a community environment dedicated to wine. Feel free to comment about wine tastings in your area, about wines you liked or didn't like, or just browse the members (friends) once we get some ;) to find other wine enthusiasts in your area via the Groups listed at left.

The online wine site that will allow you to track the wines you like (Whine about the wines you don't like!!).
Initially access will be completely free and we will make every attempt to keep it that way. Once logged into the website you will be able to browse wines as well as other wine drinker's notes that they make public. (All users have the option of making any of their posts public of private).
The website will allow for tracking wine in a simple way such as how well you like it on a scale of 1 to 10. Or flag with a "never buy" flag to remind yourself you hate that wine and alret others not to buy it for you either. It will also allow you to make free-form notes about the wine. But more importantly the site will allow you to rate the wine in a comprehensive way and define the characteristics YOU discovered in the wine such as aromas, flavors, mouth feel, etc!
Our future goals even include a mobile version if you can imagine that! Picture yourself standing in a wine shop thinkin what was that ...what was that .... Chianti what?? You just can't remember so you open your PDA or smartphone, log into wewineonline and there is your wine list at your fingertips! But that is a ways off and it fully depends on YOU the users and your level of interest in having such a thing available to you.
As the database grows, you will be able to search for wines based on such attributes. Say, for instance, you have finally determined that you really like smooth red wines with chocolate notes ... now you want to find some more! You will be able to find wines that the wine maker describes as having these characteristics, or that a wine writer describes as these characteristics, or find wines that other users have ranked in such a way (so long as they made their description of this wine public).
So hang in there while we get this site off the ground but in the mean time feel free to post comments or email feedback or suggestions.
