I really enjoy High School/College Athletics, there is something about athletes who are competing for love of the game and not the love of an extravagant lifestyle. With what little free time I have I like to study different cultures. I also spend time pursuing various social justice and charitable issues. When I'm not doing that I simply try to survive and make as much of a difference as possible in the lives of those I come in contact with. | | Music | I believe all music has something to teach, or a lesson that can be learned. I'm pretty liberal when it comes to my musical tastes. (You probably figured that out listening to my playlist) Though I'm not into country too much (very little of it is appealing to me). I detest for the most part music that is barely audible, ya know the screaming stuff, the so-called "goth" rock and that type of stuff. | | Movies | A friend told me I couldn't cop out on these sidebar things so I'll name a few of my favorite movies. My all time favorite movie is Across the Universe. Outside of that I enjoy The Patriot, West Side Story, Black Hawk Down, 50 First Dates, Shrek (all of them), School of Rock, Ali, Ray, Walk the Line, actually being a music buff I like most movies that have something to do with music, even the documentaries. I also thoroughly enjoy comedies. | | Television |
Ok, so my taste in television is quite diverse too. TV anymore is mostly advertisements (it's true). I watch way more MTV then I probably should. I also though try to equal it out with a crap load of the Discovery Channel, TLC, The History Channel, Bravo and during college football season ESPN, ESPN2, & ESPNU. | | Books | Every time I try to sit down and read a book I get distracted, put it down, then when I get back into a "reading mood" I pick up another book and start the whole cycle over. Needless to say I have read bits and pieces of many books, and haven't finished many. | | Heroes | Jesus, My Mom, Dad and Sisters, Mike Deserio, Bobby Triplett, Dr. House, Christie & Jerrod C., Rob Bell, Brennan Manning, Cameron Strang, Dan & Andrea Clemens, Kathy Ford, Dr. Hackett, Matt Huett, Donald Miller, Pope Benedict XVI, Tom & Lisa Ponchak, Amy P., Barack Obama and lately I'm finding that Single Moms are some of the most incredible individuals on the face of the planet. |

About me:
My name is Will.
I used to stress out about these 'about me' profiles, now, I could really care less. I am who I am, my life is what it is. You're welcome to hop on my bus and go along for the ride, but I'm not a fan of whiners, folks who lack compassion for humanity, liars, people who have a hard time admitting when they've f'd up, anyone who is intolerant of anything/body different than them or religious zealots. HOWEVER, just because I'm not a fan doesn't mean I'm not willing to give you a chance. I have a few fundamental beliefs that guide the life I've chosen for myself and one of those is that, deep down, most folks are good people, they just make bad decisions. My life is an open book, however being in my mid-twenties I would hope there are a crap load of chapters yet to be written in that book.
It should be considered an absolute priority to live out the golden rule in life, doing so may result in consequences you weren't quite expecting. :-)
Living an agenda filled life, that is doing something for a purpose other than just doing it, irritates the crap out of me. I'm at the point now where the only agenda I keep is on my blackberry and even that one isn't really up to date.

Who I'd like to meet:
I used to put the names of famous people here, but as I perused my friends and family's pages I'm realized I was the only geek doing so. So, I guess if you're willing to stick around long enough to get to know who it is I am, and not just the surface bullish, then I'd like to meet you.
