They are young twins, writers, composers, singers, musicians who play several instruments and performers.
Veronique V is the lead singer and plays the guitar, keyboards and saxophone.
Laurence V is the lead musician, she plays the piano, keyboards, guitar and she is the backing vocalist.
W encompasses a stylised bad girls attitude, which mixes modernly with their contrasting education at the classical music academy in Lyon, France (The Conservatoire the most accredited academy in the country).
They began their musical career when they were 7 years old, they both graduated with honours; Laurence has a degree in Piano and Veronique's is Saxophone.
Originating in France, W is strongly influenced by the Anglo-Saxon musical culture, as demonstrated by their most recent songs that you can listen to on the Website. All of them were composed, instrumented, produced, recorded and mixed by W, the lyrics were written by a talented English artist ROD AARON GAMMONS. NAOMI MARCUS has written the lyrics "Alpha", the introduction of the album. The band W is currently working with the famous and talented lyrics writer LOU MULLEN, who has written the lyric of the song "I don't care why".
These songs are a mixture of pop rock and symphonic instruments coupled with beautiful melodies, a distinguishable voice and effective guitar. The mysterious lyrics are influenced by real life, because the twins are not only gifted with musical talent, they also possess the sixth sense. This was acquired from their father who is a reputable medium, hypnotist and faith healer. His powers, experience and knowledge have been shared with the girls from a very young age. They believe in reincarnation. They have faith.
In summer 2005, they met Rod Gammons; a reputable songwriter and producer in England. He supports W with advice and experience and wrote 2 songs for them Different and Passion and Lies, which were recorded in Planet Audio (North London), by Rod and Graham Bonnett, a great, well-known sound & mix engineer.
This meeting was very important for W helping them to find the unique colour they have now. Rod Gammons composed songs using guitars instead of keyboards and pushed them to play and compose using this new instrument themselves.
At that time, they chose to combine the effective guitars with symphonic instruments, strings and the classical piano as they felt more familiar with this combination of instruments.

In January 2006, FHM, France published an article about W (interview and photographs by Frederic Royer: a famous journalist).
THEY HAVE BEEN SIGNED ON A SINGLE RELEASE DEAL TO PLATINUM RECORDS/UNIVERSAL(DIGITAL). THEY ARE RELEASING THEIR NEW SINGLE 'BELIEVE' IN EARLY FEBRUARY, WHICH ROD CO-WROTE WITH THEM.
