About me:

THURSDAY FEB 19th: a + b = c

Beatabet are a Brighton-based artist collective after our own hearts, emerging from a broad range of disciplines and coming together regularly to perform, create, compose and experiment. Their events are known for their unusual settings, their diverse line-ups and their refreshing balance between the experimental and the more accessible, managing to maintain a great sense of fun throughout.

We're presenting February's Escape night in conjunction with their finest artists and acts, in anticipation of a major collaboration that we have planned for March 2009.

AK/DK (Beatabet)
"2 humans, 2 drumkits, 2 synths, messynoiseynoise"
AK/DK: like to have fun : play completely improvised sets : come from brighton : make noise with two drum kits, an old casiotone and a korg synth : usually have a couple of friends join them for gigs : don't pretend to be cool : want to be your friend come to our party:

The Beatabet Band (Beatabet)
Born out of the annual Beatafarm Residencies in France, The Beatabet Band are a 10 piece ensemble who perform selected works from the an extensive back catalogue penned by various memebers of the collective.

The Capsized Smiles (WTCD)
The Capsized Smiles have travelled across sea, land and outer space, returning to present to you their cruel cabinet of curiosities: B-movie tales of horror, woe and wild wild joy.

Ad Hoc (WTCD)
Ad Hoc is a reformed hacker and software engineer, who builds chaotic permutations of familiar and unfamiliar sounds using an array of self-built systems.

„The moving memorials of the presence
howl their torments into the night.

Roaring dawn on the cliffs
The waking conscousness
Cuts up the flesh.
The attachement comes to an end.
The attachement comes to an end.

You stay here forever!
You stay here forever!”

Thanks for the friendship.

We wish you lot's of positive energies!

"Turn the Car Around" is just a brilliant four and a half minute pop song that takes an
