Veterans of numerous Chicago Punk and Metal bands, Contessa and Lothar had been busy with mostly Electronic music for the past several years when they had the idea of getting back to the sludgy side.At a Yakuza show in Portland, they mentioned the idea to Rupert, who immediately set out to think of a name for a group of three atheists. After a bit of deliberation as to who will play what, Lothar settled on guitar (instead of bass), Wolfgang joined on bass, and the four started rehearsing Lothar 's fist song for the group, titled Whatsoever Creepeth. Less than a year hence, WC has 5 Lothar originals and one by Rupert, some basement tapes of which you can hear on this site.
