Beatles (the group, not the creature), monkeys (the creature, not the group), cooking, baking, Ebaying, pirates & buried treasure, theater, vintage clothes and accessories, college football, trivia contests on the radio, scrapbooking, shoe-shopping, photography & photojournalism, gardening, Eiffel Tower, classic films, writing, palm trees, singing, whistling, back-porch-grilling with my honey, praying, going to the beach, music, teaching, travel, trip-planning, sunsets, Bible discussions, rocking in my white, wooden rocker on the front porch with a good book and a Yoohoo. It doesn't get any better than this.
Music
Where to begin?!! Well, some genres are fleeting... but Beatles are forever! It has been said that I'm an old soul. I like everything from Big Band and Swing from the 40's to Doo-Wop from the 50's to Oldies from the 60's and 70's. I'm into the Crooners like Nat King Cole, Mel Torme, Dean Martin, Chet Baker (also a fab trumpet player), Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra. Oh, and let's not forget the ladies: Judy Garland, Ella, Billie, Carole King, Peggy Lee, Astrud Gilberto, Julie London, Sarah Vaughn, Lesley Gore, and Dinah Washington, just to name a few. Give me any Bubblegum Band or any Girl Group from the 60's and I'm happy. I also dig Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Norah Jones, KT Tunstall, Harry Connick Jr, Five for Fighting and (big surprise, are you ready...) Paul McCartney! And as always, I'm still a lover of all things jazz-- Stan Getz, Oscar Peterson, and Lionel Hampton are three of my favorites.
Movies
All the old classics! Favorite screen duos: Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland, Bogie & Bacall, Doris Day & Rock Hudson, Liz Taylor & Montgomery Clift, William Powell & Myrna Loy, Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers. More favorite "classic" stars: Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Jimmy Stewart, Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Donald O'Connor, Ingrid Bergman, Sandra Dee, Grace Kelly, and Cary Grant.

At the moment I'm hooked on the theme song from "Chuck," so now I've finally got it where I can listen to it whenever I want!
