Far East MovementSummer’s winding down but the country has yet to get hot with some cool songs! Finally, Call Me Maybe, has been dethroned from Billboard’s Hot 100 by Flo Rida’s Whistle, but now it’s time to have a look at which songs will perfectly close out your summer. Check out below what could be the next chart topper in the country.

Far East Movement.
Far East Movement f/ Cover Drive, Turn Up The Love – Listen
.
If that synthesized trumpet sound doesn’t get you, I don’t know what will. Turn Up The Love is a mish-mash of standard club music, with an energetic chorus. This sounds like a distant cousin to David Guetta’s Without You with some hokey music one might hear in a club scene of the latest high school comedy. Cheesy, yet fun, Turn Up The Love pales in comparison to their infectious 2009 hit, Like A G6.

Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris f/ Example, We’ll Be Coming Back – Listen
.
Calvin Harris is making a bold statement with the title of his latest single. Following recent successes with Feel So Close and Let’s Go featuring Ne-Yo, this latest track is all about Harris. Easing his way into a great chorus, Example’s sexy, deep voice is such a nice contrast to the progressive beat Harris put together. We’ll Be Coming Back is a great song to end the summer, telling people they’ll be, “coming back for you one day.”

Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons, It’s Time – Listen
.
Sure, it was released back in February, but It’s Time has yet to register anywhere, and it’s a great song to end the summer. Looking back at what could have been the best summer ever for people, this song will really make people think about who they are and what they’ve become. A recent MTV VMA nod for best rock video, expect this song to continue to grow if they perform at the show.

Lawson, Taking Over Me - Listen
.
Recently released in the U.K., and not even being released in the U.S. until December (hey, this is an article about future hits), “Taking Over Me” is a soft rock song that could be easily featured in any teenage drama series come fall. Reminiscent to Hedley’s Kiss You Inside Out, Taking Over Me is a warm and inviting song for those breezy summer nights.

Come back next week when we’ll take a look at what’s bubbling under the surface. Will One Direction have a new hit following One Thing?
