If you’ve ever met a band from Australia … you know that bands from Australia are fun. Gold Fields are no exception. The guys in the band – who are Mark Robert Fulller (vocals), Vin Adanar (guitar/vocals), Rob Clifton (keys, percussion), Ryan D’Sylva (drums) and Luke Peldys (bass) – are ready to drink, ready to play ball, ready to eat weird food and ready to never share a bed together again. Their music – with it’s fun, pop-rock-dance-move-your-ass vibe – has a readiness to it too. It’s ready to go and ready to take you there. And it makes you feel pretty damn good to listen to. .
Despite all of their young and fun–ness, these guys are also pretty meticulous artists who are in it to do something substantial and lasting. And their willingness to scrap something if it’s not working and try again under new conditions or take an unconventional route to get where they want to go says good things about where they’re headed. .
Find out more about Gold Fields here. Their self-titled EP is out now and their debut album “Black Sun” is out on February 26th, 2013.
