We dare you to try to dislike the show Jane by Design. It’s about an awkward high school outsider who, thanks to a case of mistaken identity, ends up working in the fashion business as a legitimate employee in her spare time. It’s on the job that we see Jane Quimby blossom, even as we know the other shoe must drop eventually — she can’t lead a double life forever! In the meantime, we’re thoroughly enjoying Erica Dasher’s performance as the title character, and we see big things for her — and Jane — ahead.

Erica graduated from high school in Texas in 2004. She then studied theater at the University of Southern California. At the time, she believed she wanted to be a filmmaker. However, it wasn’t long before the acting bug took over, and she soon landed the role of Madison on the show The Lake, which then led to her casting as Jane on Design by Jane.

We can only imagine that Erica’s adorable yet precocious performances on Jane By Design have Hollywood executives eyeing her as the next Anne Hathaway. But onscreen isn’t the only place she’ll shine, we imagine. Erica recently told Teen Vogue that her character’s fashion savvy is starting to rub off on her, so we’re expecting to see her dazzle on the best dressed lists any day now.  Sky’s the limit for this talented lady!
