Hot on the heels of the recent pop-star-turned-Barbie announcements of a Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and The Kardashians joining the ranks of Ken and Barbie, it seems that Mattel has another popular star in their sights. Find out which “Hunger Games” character is rumored to be turning into a Barbie soon, after the jump.
So who’s the next in line for the Barbie treatment? You would think it would be Effie, with all of her style and flair, but it’s not. Katniss is the one that Mattel has picked to be the next Barbie, according to the “Hunger Games” fansite HG Girl on Fire. What’s more, you can apparently pre-order the Katniss Barbie from Entertainment Earth for only $28. The doll is scheduled to debut in April, according to the site. Here’s their description of the doll:

“With this Barbie Hunger Games Doll you can style Barbie just like Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games movie! Hunger Games, a movie starring Jennifer Lawrence, is adapted to film from the original young adult novel by writer Suzanne Collins. This doll’s outfit is made to replicate the very same one worn by the feature character in the movie, and it measures around 12-inches tall! Ages 6 and up.”

Of course, that leave the question of which outfit they are talking about. The hunting outfit? The “girl on fire” dress? The one she wears in the arena? Well, I guess we’ll find out in April. Which outfit do you think would be the best “fit” for a Katniss Barbie?
