Hold on to your seats, American Idol fans. It looks like Nicki Minaj will be joining Mariah Carey as the latest judge for the upcoming season!

Last month we reported on Mariah Carey being picked up as the latest American Idol judge after Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez announced their departure from the hit reality show. Now, Us Weekly is reporting that Nicki Minaj has been offered the job and that she is “100% confirmed” for the show, although no official word has been given by Fox or Minaj’s reps just yet. Of course, there’s still the issue of her Pepsi spokesperson contract and Idol’s commercial contract with Coke. Has that been resolved? Perhaps.

The 29-year-old Minaj just recently cancelled an appearance at the V Festival in England because of strained vocal chords. Fans reacted negatively on Twitter, which triggered Minaj to do the same toward her fans. So how will this latest announcement be taken by fans? Let us know what you think in the comments!
