What's in this Juice? is an innovative ska rock band based in New York’s scenic Hudson Valley. This six-piece consists of vocalist Laura Facchin, lead guitarist Tim Facchin, bassist Dan Goodwin, trombone player Jeff Spengler, trumpet player Andrew Sanfratello and drummer Brett Givler. The music is a unique look at ska; its upbeat horns and catchy riffs with plenty of rock attitude attract a diverse audience of listeners. The band's energy-infused songs give a nod to artists such as Reel Big Fish, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Less Than Jake, and vintage No Doubt. Their main goal is to create a fresh, fun sound that is easily enjoyed by all.
What's in this Juice? takes its name from the ironic utterance of an anonymous drummer who nearly passed out and died on his drum kit while auditioning for the band. As he clutched his abdomen and doubled over in agony (probably due to ingesting a foot-long sandwich after a late night of binge drinking) he blurted the now infamous question. This inside joke turned moniker is testament to the fact that the band doesn’t take itself too seriously. Their light-hearted spirit and fun loving nature is evident in their performance and songs.
Hey guys! Saying Hi again! I just added you guys on Last.fm. I was pleased to see you were there when I searched you. I also added you to the Survay Says! Radio Station. We're trying to get our fans to add us on there and listen to music there. So hopefully you'll get some plays! Thought i'd let you know. Peace! Good luck at the break contest!
Just to let you guys know ive been trying to get as many people as i can in my school to listen to ska :). So far I have like eight people who want to see you live.
Hey guys I just listened to Undiscovered, its such an amazing song, you guys never dissapoint, the song accualy got really good half way through but the beginning was a little shaky, its still great though, if your ever in the tennessee/virginia area please tell me so I can come see you.
Hey fellows! Awesome tunes. It's the weirdest thing. "Rodney" sounds alot like one of our songs on our page called "Solve 4 X-Pelled". It caught my attention because of that. And because it was awesome. lol
The other tunes are sweet as well. Thought I'd pop by and let you know. Peace!
I think the coolest thing about the other night was that it was a really DIVERSE crowd just because of all the different music. But yeah, it'd be awesome to play with you guys again, WITH the longer sets of course. haha.
And It'd be nice if I didn't break a string this time, lol.
It was our pleasure, truly. You guys are so great to play with and hang out with. Let us know when you're playing (and if you have a free spot on any shows) and we'll try to hook you up as well. And if you need a place to crash in Albany in October, mi casa es su casa!
You guys have a great sound, its very unique. Its nice to hear a rock band that uses classical instruments in there music. As a band geek it gives me hope that ill get in a good band with my saxophone :)
