About me: What's the Alternative is a radio show co-hosted by Jeff Johnson and Sheena Melanson out of Kitchener, Ontario Canada. You can hear WTA every Tuesday night at 7 on 88.3 CJIQ, a new rock station affiliated with Conestoga College. The focus of What's the Alternative is rock, alternative and indie music.Both Jeff and Sheena are broadcasters who give their all to every aspect of the business that they are a part of. Sheena has done a number of acting projects on the side and is considering one day pursuing acting as a professional career. She has also done on-air work for 570 News as a Weekend News Anchor and 88.3 CJIQ on a regular basis, as well as technical work for Rogers Television.Jeff can currently be heard on-air at CJIQ weekday mornings from 7AM-Noon as CJIQ's Morning News Anchor/News Director. You can also hear Jeff on weekends as a News Anchor for 570 News as well. Jeff also got a chance to be on-air at Rogers Television during the Federal Election coverage of 2006.Sometimes serious, often fun, sometimes arguing and almost always a good time, Jeff and Sheena bring together two parts of a show that you do not want to miss! With regular interviews with local talent like Shaker and Idle Sons, as well as established bands like Seether and Alter Bridge, WTA will keep you wanting more. Add to that just the right mix of the alternative music that you want to hear, old and new, and just the right kind of banter that's sure to make you laugh (with us or just at us, we have no idea!
