What's the New What Finale

After 25 weeks, Youth Radio’s weekly series What’s the New What? is ending. These stories explored trends from the perspective of Generation Y: sex without a condom; ombre; over-the-counter stimulants; dissonance music; yoga in juvenile halls; tasers as accessories; ads in Spanglish, and much more. We heard from youth reporters from around the country, including the San Francisco Bay Area, Maine, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. In our final episode, we set out to hear from young people about "Whats" that weren’t covered in our series.

   About What’s The New What?
About What’s The New What! OUT WITH THE OLD, AND IN WITH THE NEW! Times are changing faster than you can say fassst, and Youth Radio is here to share it with the world. Trends are definitely evolving in this digital time we live in. Young people once displayed chivalry, and now many are disrespectful. When we got dressed in the morning, matching was the most important part - now purposely mismatching your clothes is getting popular. Young men no longer put up their dukes in an old-fashioned fistfight - now they are quick to take it to the next level and kill. Friends are the new lovers and sippin' syrup is the new drug of choice over ecstasy. What’s next? How about you tell us! Leave us a comment on What's YOUR New What?
