ZZK Records is a homegrown, artists' collective launched recently out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. ZZK Records evolved from Zizek Club, the weekly party in Palermo, capital of South American hip, where visiting artists and resident deejays attract consistent crowds of global, street music fans. At Zizek, cumbia gets thrown in a sonic blender with minimalelectronica, dancehall, reggaeton and dub mashups, and original beats.

El Festejo Contrafestejo es un festival que celebra la multiplicidad de culturas existentes en América antes de la colonización europea. Un evento de repudio a la invasión, al genocidio, a la evangelización y a la dependencia que aún hoy continúa en complicidad con los estados y la empresas multinacionales. Es también una fiesta de reivindicación social y cultural de los pueblos originarios arrasados, despojados de sus lenguas, costumbres y religiones para instaurar una forma única de ver el mundo. Es, finalmente, un encuentro de resistencia hacia la cultura dominante, donde artistas, comunicadores y organizaciones sociales y barriales expresan su postura frente a la realidad, su descontento con la homogeneidad occidental y muestran su propuesta de cambio con su palabra y su obra.
