WhatWentWrong is a three-man rock band from Tooele, Utah.
Starting in September 2008, WhatWentWrong practiced and worked on material, playing the occasional show and winning their high school's battle of the bands competition. Releasing a Demo/EP in January of 2009, they were quickly played often on KXRK 96.3's Local Music Radio Show among other older, more experienced bands.
Since then, WhatWentWrong has built a reputation as being one of the most talented teenage acts in the state, performing on the Live and Local stage of the X96 Maverick Big Ass Show; the only teenage band to do so. Mark Hardcore at TheLocalLanding.Net posted a review:
"What Went Wrong:
This Green Day-meets-MxPx band was definitely fun to see live. They mixed in a more pop-punk sound with their more emo stuff (for those who actually draw a distinction) and was one of the only local bands to get the crowd moshing. While they did play some stuff that was unquestionably emo, like “Love Fixation”, they still managed to sound different from the other bands of the night. What Went Wrong was arguably the best band of the Live And Local stage, and they capped off their set with an absolutely furious drum solo. Not bad for a bunch of high school kids."
The purpose of WhatWentWrong is to bring real music to the average everyday music listener who has adapted to listening to the general Hot 100 radio, which is full of musical corn syrup. WWW, with their catchy music and audience-interactive live shows, provides that average everyday music listener with a more real alternative, regardless of their preferred genre.
So message. Comment. Provide your general support. The potential of WWW is beyond measure, so hop on board while you can.

Hey, I just put up four new songs: "Reinvention", "The Soldiers Mark", "Friends", and "The League War". They'll all be on the album "Share this." when it's released this September. Give them a listen and let us know what you think. And even better, going with the spirit of the new album title, would be to let your friends know what you think. Thanks.
Alright, after 2 weeks of camping and college searching, I finally found some time to actually comment on your album release show.
The sad thing about that is.... I only got to hear 4 of the songs you played. But the good part is, you guys sounded amazing! But... again on a bad note, I didn't get your new CD, but on a good note, I will get it! HAHAHAHA!!!!
Keep up the good work you guys! Let the music flow!

P.S. it took me 5 times to spell my last name correctly.... I must be going crazy!! :D But at least it's with a smile!!
Hey thanks! It was fun playing with you guys... sorry we didn't have a longer set that show was really short notice... not your fault though haha. you guys rocked
Hey guys I just wanted to let you know that I'm really excited for your record! And that Aja has created you a pretty awesome mini-fanbase here in NC :) Also, that giant grapic I made you forever ago that's at the top of the band members section definitely doesn't match your page anymore so feel free to delete that if you want lol :)
What's up Whatwentwrong? Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. I love your eyes, I know they can stare through my thoughts. The expanse of your beauty is a void no universe could ever fill. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. Transistors bridge where your vanity would never go. I sense wild vapors of sweet champagne in your larynx. May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. I keep searching for you between the cushions. So charmingly silky, your skin is like a teardrop on a popsickle. I find your eyes to be a wondrous amusement park filled with neo-plastic pleasures and turkish delights. How can I help but use your eyes as a means for self-asphyxiation? Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. Your beauty is multiplexed in contemplation of your multidimensional effervescence. Your hair sends forth a sheen remniscent of golden sunlight winding through shadows. A starfish's lifelong hallucinations of gelatin pools and of actuaries floating upon the foam and reciprocal ohm.
